50 Rupee 1981-1985

The Central Bank of Ceylon (CBSL) issued in for circulation, a 50 Rupee Currency Note dated 1981-01-01 in a series of Notes that started in 1981 on theme Historical and Archaeology of Sri Lanka.

Colors	Front – Blue with Orange on left and Red on right of center Back – Blue with few green leaves and orange flowers.
Front	Landscape Horizontal Serial number on lower left of center and upper right. An image of the famous Buddhist statue and painting building with caption bottom left of it in Sinhala , Thamil , and English RAJA MAHA VIHARE, KELANIYA. Braille:Four small squares printed in relief incorporated vertically on the right hand side border of the note.
Back	Portrait Within a decorative border, Numeric 50 at top left and Bottom right. n image of the ruins of medieval stnding Buddha statue building with caption lower right on it in Sinhala , Thamil , and English LANKATILEKA MAHA VIHARE, POLONNARUWA. At bottom centered just below horizontal decorate in small script BRADBURY WILKINSON.
Sequrity Thread	Thin polyester thread of 1 mm width embedded in note. Micro-printing background pattern. UV Printing: Front: Signature, Date and Serial Numbers, in Green. On right outlines of large Flag Lion with Sword in raised right paw in yellow with large numeric 100 highlighting design at center. Back: Highlight of decorative border around watermark panel in Greenish Yellow.
Watermark	Lion standing on hind legs facing left with bent whip in right paw, Lion Lighter with outline including whip darker than paper.
